Business Milestones
The success of Medical Connections and its increasing visibility on the US map in the medical recruiting industry is due to a simple and effective business model, sharply focused actions to achieve the goals of this model, and down-to-earth flexible assessment of the fast changes in the marketplace. Below, are the main milestones marking the success of the Company – from inception, to recent days when it began trading on the public market:
2002 NOV 26: Medical Connections is incorporated.
2003 Medical Connections sets up operations in Pompano Beach, Florida, and establishes a web presence. A business plan along with a PPM is developed.
2004 APR 23: Medical Connections acquires NAC along with it’s key executive: Mr. Luke Jansen – now a SVP at Medical Connections, Inc. OCT: Medical Connections acquires the “.com” domain extension: www.medicalconnections.com.
DEC 18: Medical Connections acquires new office space in Boca Raton, Florida.
2005 JAN 12: Medical Connections signs share-for-share exchange with Webb Mortgage Depot, Inc. (OTC B/B symbol WBBM), to facilitate a reverse merger onto the OTC B/B stock exchange. Medical Connections will emerge as the parent company.
FEB: Medical Connections announces that Mr. Daniel L. Cammarano, III will join the company in the first quarter as Chief Financial Officer.
JUN 8: Medical Connections rolls out the new Choices program to offer clients and candidates a flexible option for permanent and contract positions.
SEP 29: Regulatory clearance is given to Webb Mortgage Depot, Inc. to complete the share-forshare exchange merger with Medical Connections.
OCT 13: Medical Connections becomes a member of the American Staffing Association.
OCT 19: Medical Connections acquires the new “.jobs” domain: www.medicalconnections.jobs.
DEC 5: Webb Mortgage holds a shareholder meeting to approve the share-for-share exchange with Medical Connections, Inc.
DEC 26: Medical Connections launches a new website to facilitate new business programs and enhance search capabilities for candidates and clients.
DEC 27: Medical Connections finalizes the share-for-share exchange with Webb Mortgage.
2006 JAN 23: The name of Webb Mortgage is officially changed to “Medical Connections Holdings, Inc.” and applied a new ticker symbol to reflect that name change: “MCTH”.
2007 MAR 3: Dr. Albert G. Biehl establishes the Medical Connections advisory board. MAR 16: Medical Connections welcomes Robert B. Taylor, JR., FHFMA as an Advisory Board member. Mr. Taylor brings a wealth of healthcare financial management experience to Medical Connections. Formerly a Senior Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at Bethesda Memorial from 1979 through 2006, Mr. Taylor currently serves Bethesda Memorial as a management consultant and analyst. With the past 45 years experience mainly in the healthcare industry specializing in finance, Mr. Taylor is well seasoned to advise Medical Connections on healthcare financial matters and assist in serving existing national hospital chains as well as making introductions to national healthcare facilities.
APR 4: Mr. Constantine “Deno” Macricostas agrees to become a member of Medical Connections Advisory Board. Mr. Macricostas was introduced to Medical Connections during the first quarter of 2006. After visiting the company’s headquarters several times during 2006-2007 and spending time with management of Medical Connections to fully understand the healthcare staffing and recruiting industry, Mr. Macricostas stated “he was extremely excited and enthusiastic about serving as an Advisory Board member.” In addition to an Advisory Board member, Mr. Macricostas is an investor in Medical Connections.
APR 17: Medical Connections Holdings, Inc. OTC BIB MCTH announces completion of $3.5 MIM financing. This recent round of financing consisted of $3,500,000.00 in convertible Debentures and Warrants to purchase an additional $7,000,000.00 of Medical Connections Holdings common stock.
JUN 12: Medical Connections announces relationship with Westpark Capital.
JUL 16: Medical Connections expands the corporate office.
SEP 20: Medical Connections announces relationship with Barry Kaplan Associates.
2008 MAR 4: Medical Connections is awarded the Joint Commission’s prestigious Healthcare Industry Certification.
DEC: Medical Connections was featured in the December issue of inside-healthcare. Our “Full Potential” article takes a closer look at our cultural collaboration, exposing the differences between our continued growth and success to other companies. In addition, to our growth strategies and continued success as one of the fastest growing healthcare staffing firms in the U.S
2009 Medical Connections was the only publicly held company that made the list of Staffing Industry Analysis’s Fastest-Growing Staffing firms. Rated #7, Medical Connections Holdings, Inc has shown an annual average growth of 63% over five years.
